Butte College Cadets Perform Tribute
for 9/11 Fallen Firefighters

The Butte College Fire Academy will be holding a 9/11 Memorial Tribute on Wednesday, September 13, from 6:30-9 a.m. with the 67th Firefighter I Academy. Firefighter cadets will be located on the fire training grounds, 3536 Butte Campus Drive, conducting a 110 floor climb to replicate the flights of stairs that each fallen firefighter took on 9/11. Each firefighter cadet will have researched a fallen firefighter from 9/11 and will be honoring that person by replicating the stairs the individual climbed, and wearing a photo of the fallen firefighter. The climb will take place roughly from 7–8 a.m. and a ceremony will follow.
