There are a lot of resources available to students. Do you need help buying textbooks, paying tuition, getting tutoring, finding a job? There are many different programs and services both on the Butte College campus and out in the community that might be able to help. On this page we wanted to include some of the most commonly used resources, but there are many others available that may not have made this list.
We have also included a list of FAQs (or Frequently Asked Questions from Students) with the answers to those questions.
On Campus Resources
- Financial Aid

- Center for Academic Success (CAS)
CAS provides many resources in support of academic success for all Butte College students.
- Extended Opportunity Program and Services (EOPS)
EOPS is a state-funded program designed to recruit and retain students who are economically and educationally disadvantaged.
- Career Center
The Career Center is open to any individual or business that is seeking assistance in meeting their employment needs.
- Safe Place & Wellness Program
The Safe Place & Wellness Program offers a visible support system for victims of sexual assault, intimate partner violence and stalking through outreach, crisis intervention, advocacy, and educational programming at Butte College.
- Student Health Clinic
The Student Health Clinic’s purpose is to work together with our students giving them the tools to lead a long, healthy, active life. We take good health very seriously, so let us be your first stop to staying well.
- California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR)
The California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) is an employment and independent living resource for people with disabilities.
- Butte County Behavioral Health
Our Mission: "Partner with individuals, families and the community for recovery from serious mental health and substance abuse issues and to promote wellness, resiliency and hope."
- Self-Service (Registration FAQs & Videos)
The Admissions & Records Department has several tutorial videos and answers to address any question you may have on how to register for classes each semester. If you do not find the answers to your questions on registration, please contact admissions@ngskmc-eis.net.
DSPS Advisory Committee Information
What is the Purpose of the Advisory Committee?
Each district receiving funds pursuant to this subchapter shall establish, at each college in the district, an advisory committee which shall meet not less than once per year.
The advisory committee shall, at minimum, include students with disabilities and representatives of the disability community and agencies or organizations serving persons with disabilities.

Philosophy
Within the California Community College system, a broad scope of support services, educational accommodations, and instruction is provided to assist students with disabilities achieve their personal, vocational, and educational goals. To assist the Community College in receiving the locally needed input from the community, an Advisory Committee is selected to provide information and resources. This committee should represent a broad cross section of the community. The Advisory Committee is extremely important because it is a mechanism to (1) improve communication; (2) solicit the confidence of the public; (3) obtain valuable input on the programs and services available to students with disabilities.
Definition of Advisory Committee
A Community College Advisory Committee for DSPS may be defined as a group of individuals selected from the segment of the community that comprises a specific interest in the knowledge of the needs of individuals with disabilities. The advisory committee is usually formally organized, and is appointed by proper authority for a definite term. In some situations, an informal or “ad-hoc” committee used for special purposes. Advisory committees have no authority to delegate or legislate.
